在外贸业务中，银行水单（本文特指结汇水单），即卖家公司账上收到客户的钱款，银行入账时其通知公司的书面文件。
In foreign trade, a bank slip (refer in particular to customers’ payment bill), is a paperwork banks apply to inform the seller company that the payment has been effected from the customer.
通常，大多数人在结款时以收到银行水单为准，准备己方下一步的工作（生产及发货等）。
We generally confirm the payment is effected subject to our receipt of bank slip set to operate the subsequent work (production, shipment, and the like).
最近，Evan就遇到了一件事，使他焦虑不已。
Recently, Evan encountered with an incident of which confused him a lot.
Evan在LinkedIn上开发了个客户，客户没有过多地提出反对意见，Evan很顺利地拿下了订单。而客户一再强调，交期一定一定不能延误，因为他们要把产品尽快投入市场。
Evan developed the customer on LinkedIn. Without facing too many objections from the customer, Evan lightly took the order. The customer emphasized repeatedly that the delivery date must not be postponed since they would launch the products on the market soon after they picked up the goods.
Evan与客户约定按30 % T/T预付款，发货前余下款项付清的付款方式。一收到银行的水单，确认无误后，Evan便开始安排生产。生产期间，Evan也确认了款项已到账。客户那边则仍是不放心的样子，一直提醒Evan，交期不能误。Evan确信了客户真的很急用这批货，就不敢怠慢，让工厂那边即使加班加点都要做下来，别误了交期。
Evan came to the agreement with the customer that the payment method of 30 % payment T/T in advance and the rest being effected before the shipment. The moment Evan received the bank slip and confirmed that it’s error free, Evan started to arrange the production. During the production period, Evan verified that he had received the payment. As for the customer, it seemed worried and kept reminding Evan that the delivery date must not be behind schedule. Evan was convinced that the customer was in a extremely urgent need of the batch of goods so that Evan dared not to make any mistake and expedited the plant to produce goods in extra hours to make sure the delivery date wouldn’t get delayed.
五天后，Evan收到工厂通知，货物已经生产完毕，Email通知了客户，让客户尽快将余款付清，才好安排发货。
Five days later, Evan emailed his customer and asked him to effect the balance payment asap upon receipt of notification from the plant that the goods were all set to go so that he could arrange the shipment.
客户同意了，没过多久发来了水单以及一封邮件，感谢Evan的高效率。并称货款将大致于三天后到账，让Evan耐心等候并让其尽快安排出货。Evan见到了水单，松了口气，没有怀疑，开始安排发货事宜。
The customer consented and sent the bank slip as well as an email with gratitude for Evan’s high efficiency before long. It also stated that the payment would be into Evan’s account approximately 3 days later and asked Evan to wait patiently. Evan heaved a sign after seeing the bank slip and set out to effect shipment without doubts.
三天后，Evan检查了一下公司账户，发现并没有钱款到账。着急的他马上给银行那边打了电话，询问账上是否有未结算的钱款。银行回答说没有，Evan顿时有了不祥的预感。
Three days later, Evan checked the company account, only to find out that the expected payment wasn’t into the account. Anxiously, he contacted the bank and inquired if there was any unliquidated payment. Unfortunately, the answer was no.
Evan发了封邮件给客户，质问其为什么钱款并没有如其所说到账。客户回了封邮件，全篇废话，总结起来就是一句话，“There must be some mistakes. Just wait patiently.”之后，客户干脆就直接消失了。
Evan then sent an email and queried the customer why he hadn’t received the payment. The customer wrote back an email with nonsense and it could be summarized as “There must be some mistakes. Just wait patiently.” The customer just vanished afterwards.
结果，Evan到最后都没有收到货款，只有那个似是而非的水单仿佛在嘲笑他不谙世事。Evan既丢了货，货款这边也只收到了30 %的预付款，他是欲哭无泪啊。
Failed to behold the arrival of payment at last, Evan considered himself as quite a ridiculous man, seeing that specious bank slip. It must desperate for Evan lost the cargoes and received 30 % of the total value in the end.
原来，客户发来的第一张水单是真货，预付款实际是到帐了的。Evan也因此对客户产生了进一步的信任。而Evan之后收到的那张水单是客户利用软件伪造而成，银行根本就没有提供过这份单据。
The first bank slip the customer sent turned out to be a real one and Evan did receive the payment so Evan developed confidence in the customer. Then the later bank slip was actually counterfeited by the customer with software which wasn’t offered by the bank ever.
有太多人将收到水单等同于收到款项，以为收到了水单，那剩下的就可以让银行操作了。
A great amount of people think that once they get the bank slip, the payment is about to arrive soon.
说到底，我们就不应该将收到水单作为进行生产或发货的标准，因为水单是可以通过Photoshop或其他软件伪造的。
In the final analysis, it’s forbidden for us to take the receipt of bank slip as the standard to arrange production or effect shipment for it can be counterfeited with Photoshop or other software.
再者，他们可以通过电脑上的财务系统设置很长的执行日期，之后再行撤销。而一旦你有所疏漏，就会中招了
Besides, it’s practicable for them to utilize the financial system to set a long execution date and annul it afterwards. Once you are careless, you’ll have to face the consequence.
所以，我们一切要以收到款为准，相对于收款，其他的都不是什么大问题！
As a consequence, we must arrange the production as well as shipment subject to the receipt of payment.
