只要涉足外贸领域,就必然知道cif所说的是产品销售过程之中,相应的运费以及保险费用等都由外贸企业产品销售方来承担。涉及到风险转移点时,有很多新进入领域发展的工作人员有些疑惑不解,其风险转移点的设定为产品装运港口船只后,相关保险和销售方企业没有任何关联性,为什么会出现这种状况呢?新进工作人员疑惑的问题主要在于,既然自身企业购买了这一类型的保险,一旦出现问题,就必然应该赔偿己方,从下述案例中我们能够了其问题本质:

从如上介绍中可以发现,在这篇沟通中就已经明确说明了cif风险转移点问题,“The board of directors of our company has agreed to the relevant freight and insurance plan proposed by you. In the course of transportation of this product, the land transportation and related expenses of the product are all borne by our company. The corresponding bill of lading of CIF will be mailed to your company after the product is uploaded.”
显而易见,cif保险虽然是由产品销售企业购买,但是其购买行为是替代产品买入方企业进行支付,因此在产品装船之后,这批货物的归属权就已经从销售方企业转移到产品购买方企业,因此要将相关的提单交给产品购入方用户,此时,其风险都是由产品购入方企业承担的,所以后期运输过程中无论出现任何问题,其受益人都是产品购入方机构。为什么在cif中没有找到相应的说明性文件呢,实际非常简单,这一类型的说明条款存在于fob中,想要对信息详细解读,用户就一定要关注到这一类型的问题,从上述可知cif风险转移点和销售方企业关联性不大,但是这种问题会降低外贸企业收益。
对于外贸销售企业而言,更应该关注的是如何节省费用支出,和产品购入方企业沟通时应尽量以fob为主。

该外贸企业关注的是“So in this product transaction. We will be responsible for transporting the products to the designated port, and your company shall bear the relevant insurance and shipping costs on its own.”很显然,这对于销售方企业更有利。
